New Delhi. Indian cricket team’s left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh is dominating the T20 World Cup 2024 with his brilliant bowling. Arshdeep took 4 wickets in the match against America. Before this, he bowled brilliantly against Pakistan. Former spinner Anil Kumble says Indian team should go with Arshdeep Singh in Super 8 due to Arshdeep’s sharp bowling. Kumble said that since the Super 8 match is to be played in West Indies, Arshdeep Singh should get the choice in the playing XI instead of Mohammad Siraj.

“I think the way he (Arshdeep) bowled the last over against Pakistan and the variety he has for T20 cricket,” Kumble told ESPNcricinfo. From that I think he is definitely ahead of Mohammad Siraj. If India choose to go with two fast bowlers and Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep being a left-handed bowler will also provide variety.
Mohammad Siraj has failed to make a mark
Arshdeep Singh has performed brilliantly for India in all three matches of the T20 World Cup so far. He has taken wickets at an economy of 6.2 and a strike rate of 10.28. In comparison, Siraj has taken only one wicket in 3 matches at a strike rate of 66. The Indian team will face Canada in their last league match before the Super 8. This match will be played on June 15.
