He is my first choice… Pietersen demanded Sanju’s inclusion in the T20 WC squad

New Delhi. Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 7 wickets on the strength of Sanju Samson’s captaincy innings. With this win, Rajasthan have 16 points from 9 matches and are almost certain to reach the playoffs of IPL 2024. Sanju played an unbeaten innings of 71 runs off 33 balls in the match against LSG. Meanwhile, 7 fours and 4 sixes came from his bat. Sanju shared a century with Dhruv Jurel to give the team a memorable win. Former England captain Kevin Pietersen is happy with Sanju’s performance. He says that Sanju should be in the Indian team for the next T20 World Cup.

Kevin Pietersen said of Sanju Samson on Star Sports, ‘I don’t see any doubt that he will go to the Caribbean and America in a couple of weeks. He has done a great job under pressure. The way he has done many things in his captaincy has not gone unnoticed. The way he is scoring, if I were a selector, he would be one of my first choices.
