Uttarakhand Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat on Tuesday ordered the recruitment of 3600 vacancies of basic teachers in government schools in the state. The Director of Education has been asked to issue notifications on district wise vacancies as soon as possible. This recruitment process was pending for a long time. The Education Minister said that the candidates who had previously applied for the recruitment in the year 2020 and 2021. They will not need to apply afresh. Such candidates will be considered eligible for fresh recruitment as per previous application. It is known that on the order of the Supreme Court, the government has set new standards for the eligibility of basic teachers in the Government Primary Education (Teacher) Service Rules 2024 issued on May 6. According to which the B.Ed degree has been removed from the qualification of a basic teacher. Only two years D.El.Ed, two years Diploma in Education (Special Education) ie D.Ed and four years B.El.Ed can apply for Basic Teacher.
Directorate of Education started preparations:
Education Ramakrishna Unyal said that the recruitment process of basic teacher will be started soon. All DEO-Basic has to do is check the actual number of vacancies. He said that as per the new rules candidates with B.Ed degree will not be included in the recruitment process. People of Uttarakhand origin who have completed educational qualifications like D.L.Ed etc. from legally recognized institutions of other states will also be eligible to apply.
Recruitment advertisement will be released soon:
Uttarakhand Primary Teacher Recruitment Notification will be released soon. The application process for teacher recruitment is expected to be started soon in the coming days. This recruitment process will be combined with the ongoing recruitment for 2020 and 2021. That means the applications through which applications were taken earlier will also be valid for this recruitment. The state government has implemented the Primary Education Rules, 2024, under which new norms have been set for new posts of teachers on the orders of the Supreme Court.
