A high voltage match between India and Pakistan will be played on June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team defeated Ireland by eight wickets in their first match of T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan will start their World Cup campaign from Thursday. A few days after the start of the tournament, the hotel of the Pakistan cricket team has been changed. In fact, the ICC has changed the location of the Pakistan team’s hotel after Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed his displeasure over the team’s stay away from the ground.

According to Pakistan’s Geo News, Naqvi spoke to the ICC to express his displeasure and convinced the World Cup management team to change the location of the Pakistan team’s hotel. Pakistan will now be just five minutes away from New York’s Nassau County International Cricket Stadium after PCB chief’s intervention. According to Geo News sources, earlier the hotel was 90 minutes away from the venue.

Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to play its two Group A matches against India and Canada on June 9 and June 11 respectively at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. The Rohit Sharma-led team will be looking to win their first T20 World Cup title since the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2007. Pakistan won the trophy in 2009.
