HSSC: Recruitment for 6000 posts of Constable in Haryana Police, re-invited applications after revised CET result

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has re-invited applications for the recruitment of 6000 Haryana Police Constables after declaring the revised result of CET in view of the High Court order. Applications for this recruitment can be made from 29 June to 8 July 2024. In fact, after the Supreme Court rejected the plea to award 5 bonus marks on social and economic grounds, the revised result of Group C of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) was declared on June 25. CET result released without bonus marks. Now CET qualified candidates have to register again using their CET registration number.

Earlier, applications for the recruitment of Haryana Police Constable were taken from 20th February to 28th March. The recruitment process did not proceed after this. Candidates who have already applied need not apply again. As per the court order, the claim of socio-economic criteria will be removed from their application. Reservation in 5000 posts for men – Non-ESM ESP: GEN=1800, SC=900, BCA=700, BCB=400, EWS=500, ESM-GEN=350, ESM-SC=100, ESM-BCA=100, ESM-BCB=150

Capacity – Must have passed 12th. Should have studied one subject of Hindi or Sanskrit in 10th.

Age range Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 1 February 2024. Due to delay in recruitment and Corona, the government has given 3 years age relaxation.

Candidates belonging to reserved category who are natives of Haryana will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per state government rules. That is, after relaxation of age limit, now unsecured category candidates up to 28 years can apply. While for EWS,/SC,/ST age limit will be 18 years to 33 years. Maximum age limit for OBC category will be 31 years.

Selection Process – Candidates will be shortlisted for physical test based on CET. Candidates will then be called for the Common Eligibility Test (Knowledge Test). 94.5 percent weightage will be given to the knowledge test. Those who have NCC certificate will get 3 marks extra. A weightage of 2.5 marks has been fixed for socio-economic criteria.

In the physical test, men have to run 2.5 km in 12 minutes and women have to run 1 km in 6 minutes.
