‘I want to feed my family, that’s why…’, Mithun Chakraborty said on BJP after casting vote, reveals next plan

Bihar, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal are voting in this last phase. Voting is going on in 9 seats in West Bengal. In this episode, famous actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty was seen standing in a queue to cast his vote. He cast his vote at a polling station in Belgachia, Kolkata district.

Mithun Chakraborty was seen wearing a black kurta, black cap and sunglasses. Talking to ANI, he said, ‘I am a BJP cadre, I have done my duty. I will start talking about movies from tomorrow, after all I have to feed my family. During the election in Bengal, there were reports of violence from several areas including Sandeshkhali and Bhangar. Earlier this year in February, 73-year-old Mithun was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. During treatment, it was revealed that he had suffered an ischemic cerebrovascular accident (stroke). However, he soon recovered and was discharged from the hospital.

Started his career with ‘Mrigaya’.
Talking about Mithun’s career, he started his acting career in 1976 with the art house drama ‘Mrigaya’. He gained popularity with ‘Disco Dancer’ in 1982, after which he got roles in films like ‘Agnipath’, ‘Takdeer’, ‘Baat Bana Jaye’, ‘Gunahon Ka Devta’, ‘Shataranj’, ‘Sautela’, ‘Billa No’. found in 786′.

Was seen in ‘The Kashmir Files’.
Mithun was last seen on the big screen in Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’. The film focuses on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir in the 1990s. Mithun has also been honored with the National Award and the Padma Bhushan. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the West Bengal assembly elections in 2021.
