Ramaswamy told ‘ABC News’, ‘If Donald Trump becomes the party’s nominee – yes, I will support him. If I become president, I will pardon him because it will help unite the country, but it is not the most important thing that I will do as the next president. This is the first thing to take the country forward.

Notably, Ramaswamy’s popularity has increased following his impressive performance in the initial Republican ‘Primary Presidential Debate’ last month. He is competing with another Indian American, Nikki Haley, a former governor of South Carolina. Ramaswamy is the only Republican candidate who has openly endorsed Trump for president.

“My bottom line is I’m going to vote for the person who I think is in the best position to take this country forward,” he said. I don’t think it’s Joe Biden. I don’t think it’s another puppet, Kamala Harris or anyone else, that they’re going to bring forward after Joe Biden.
