ICC has announced the list of umpires and match referees participating in the T20 World Cup.

The International Cricket Council has announced 26 match officials for the first round of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 to be held in the USA and West Indies. The tournament will be played from June 1. ICC match referee Javagal Srinath and umpires Nitin Menon and Jayaraman Madangopal will represent India in the T20 World Cup to be held next month. According to ICC, 20 umpires will be involved in the tournament, while 6 match referees will officiate in the ninth edition of the World Cup.

This time 20 teams will play 55 matches in 28 days at 9 venues for the T20 World Cup title. In this, 20 umpires will officiate in 55 matches across nine venues, including renowned ICC umpires Richard Illingworth, Kumar Dharmasena, Chris Gaffney and Paul Reiffel. Apart from Madangopal, Sam Nogajski, Alauddin Palekar, Rashid Riaz and Asif Yakub will also make their debut in the ICC Senior Men’s tournament.

Apart from Srinath, the six referees will also include Ranjan Madugale, Jeff Crowe and Andrew Pycroft. “We have selected experienced match officials and we are proud of our team,” ICC General Manager Wasim Khan said in an ICC statement. We are confident that our officers will perform strongly.
