Tusshar Deshpande gets chance in Indian team under Stephen Fleming: Soon the Indian team will be seen competing under a new coach. It is believed that this could be none other than Stephen Fleming, the former captain of the New Zealand cricket team and currently the head coach of Chennai Super Kings. If reports are to be believed, talks are going on between BCCI and Fleming for the post of head coach. However, no specific statement has come out from both sides regarding this yet.
If Fleming becomes the head coach of the Indian team, the day is not far when some of the uncapped players who have been performing well for CSK can be included in the Indian team. Tushar Deshpande may be the first name among these. The 29-year-old fast bowler has created a sensation in IPL 2024 with his brilliant bowling.
As of writing, he has played a total of 12 matches for his team in the ongoing tournament. Meanwhile, he has taken 16 wickets in 12 innings at an average of 23.43. He has spent runs at an economy of 8.52 in the tournament. His best bowling performance in IPL 2024 is 4 wickets for 27 runs. He is at the 7th position in terms of taking the most wickets.

Tushar Deshpande has played a total of 36 first class cricket, 40 list A and 79 T20 matches in domestic cricket. Meanwhile, he has scored 97 runs at an average of 29.09 in 59 innings of first-class cricket, 51 runs at an average of 32.86 in 39 ODIs and 115 runs at an average of 21.05 in 79 T20 innings.
