Star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has now revealed what captain Rohit said to motivate the Indian players ahead of the final.
Surya told Indian Express, “He (Rohit) advised us to keep things simple. But said, ‘I cannot climb this mountain alone. Surya said, “No one thought about the Super-8 and the same was true about the final in Barbados. Our mind should be where our feet are. That was our motto. Suryakumar praised Rohit’s leadership. About the style, he said, “Whenever In difficult situations, the players know that he (Rohit) will support us, in such situations the player feels that I have to perform well for him, because it gives confidence and respect to everyone. Surya took a surprise catch of David Miller in the 20th over, which proved decisive.
Talking about the title win, Suryakumar said that he will always remember this catch.
