Bangladesh cricket team is going to get a big blow during Asia Cup 2023. The team’s senior player Mushfiqur Rahim can return home after the match against Sri Lanka today i.e. on September 9. There are reports that Mushfiqur’s wife is pregnant and he may return to Bangladesh for the birth of his second child after this match. This wicket keeper batsman has given this information to the team management. If this happens, Mushfiqur will not be part of the squad for the Super-4 match against India.

Team sources confirmed to BDCricTime that senior player Mushfiqur Rahim could return home after playing the Super-4 match against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup 2023. However, the team is yet to announce his location.
Bangladesh’s next match is against India on September 15. If Bangladesh manage to beat Sri Lanka today, it can be hoped that Mushfiqur will be back in the squad before the match against India. Recently Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah also did the same.
Talking about the performance of the Bangladesh team, the team started with a loss in the Super-4. The team lost by 5 wickets against Pakistan at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Along with this, they also got a crushing defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the group stage. Today, in the Super-4, Bangla Tigers will be eyeing to make up for that defeat.
