Team India scored 181 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs in response to which the entire Afghanistan team was bowled out for 134 runs in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 36 runs in four overs. Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets while Akshar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each. Suryakumar Yadav, who played a match-changing innings of 53 runs off 28 balls, was selected as the player of the match.
