Right-handed batsman Suryakumar Yadav broke former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina’s record as he scored his sixth run in the first Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Afghanistan. Suryakumar Yadav has become the highest run-scorer for India in T20 International cricket on West Indies soil. Surya’s bat not only stopped at 6 runs, but he also scored a storming half-century and led Team India to a strong score. He came in to bat when India fell for two wickets at 54 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav completed his half-century against Afghanistan with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes in 27 balls. His strike rate during this period was 196.30. However, he was dismissed on the very next ball. Thus his strike rate was 189.29. He played a brilliant innings of 53 runs off 28 balls. Earlier, he also scored a half-century in the match against USA, but it came in around 50 balls. Its importance was also much higher, because the circumstances of that match were different and the pitch was very bad. There he played very carefully.

The third position in the list is Rishabh Pant, who has scored 194 runs and Rohit Sharma is fourth with 193 runs.
