Kapil Dev on Jasprit Bumrah IND vs ENG Next: India’s first World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev said that Jasprit Bumrah is 1000 times better bowler than him if compared to the time he was bowling. Bumrah has been in great form in the ongoing T20 World Cup, picking up 11 wickets in 23 overs so far. Kapil told ‘PTI Video’, “Bumrah is 1000 times better bowler than me. These youngsters are much better than us. We had more experience. They are better. Bumrah is considered to be the best fast bowler in international cricket right now.
This bowler who has played 26 Tests for India has taken 159 wickets. He has taken 149 wickets in 89 ODIs and 85 wickets in 68 T20 Internationals. Kapil ended his career with a world record 434 Test wickets and is considered among the greatest all-rounders of all time.
He has also taken 253 ODI wickets, leading India to their first World Cup title in 1983, also complimenting the fitness level of the current national team. He said, “The players are very good. is excellent. They are more fit. They are very hardworking. They are fantastic.”
