Shefali played an innings of 205 runs off 197 balls during which he hit 23 fours and 8 sixes from his bat. Shefali also holds the world record for most sixes in an innings in women’s Test cricket. Apart from this, Shefali became the second Indian woman cricketer to score the youngest Test double century. In 2002, Mithali Raj scored a double century at the age of 19 years and 256 days, the youngest double century in women’s Test cricket. Shefali achieved this feat at the age of 20 years and 152 days.

Talking about Smriti Mandhana, she played an innings of 149 runs off 161 balls. Mandhana hit 27 fours and one six. Together, these two put on a partnership of 292 runs for the first wicket. Together the two set the world record for the largest partnership for the first wicket in women’s Test cricket. The world record for the highest partnership for any wicket in women’s Test cricket is held by Australia’s Reeler and Annetts, which they held against England in 1987. Both shared a partnership of 309 runs for the third wicket.
