New Delhi. BCCI has received more than 3000 applications for Indian cricket team coach. Names like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni to Narendra Modi, Amit Shah are among the applicants. According to a report, people applying using names of famous people like Modi-Sachin-Dhoni are fake users. The last date to apply for the new coach of the Indian men’s cricket team was May 27.
Current Indian team coach Rahul Dravid’s tenure is only till T20 World Cup. BCCI is looking for a new coach to replace Dravid. Applications were invited under this. For this, the board had given a link to a Google form on its website, through which the application had to be made.

According to sources, more than 3000 applications were received to become the Indian coach till May 27. Many of these applications are in name only. Applications made using the names of people like Sachin Tendulkar, Narendra Modi are being considered in this category.
On the question of ‘Indian Express’ regarding these applications, a BCCI official said, ‘BCCI received such applications last time also. The reason is also that the board invited applications through Google form. The advantage is that it is easy to sort through applications received through Google Forms. However, some people unnecessarily add to the difficulty by applying under a false name.
However, the board official did not reveal which players had seriously applied to become the coach. Gautam Gambhir’s name is considered to be the front runner in this race. But Gambhir also did not react to this.
