India to become $10 trillion economy by 2032: Gautam Adani

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani says that India will become a US$10 trillion ($10 trillion) economy by fiscal year 2032 and total spending on infrastructure will also cross US$2.5 trillion.

During credit rating company CRISIL’s annual infrastructure summit ‘Infrastructure: The Catalyst for India’s Future’, Gautam Adani mentioned his projection of India becoming a US$10 trillion economy in the next eight years. “Our projections show that India is on target to become a US $10 trillion ($10 trillion) economy by fiscal year 2032 – and total spending on infrastructure at that time will be US $2.5 trillion,” said the Adani Group chairman. And about a quarter of this total spending, i.e. 25 percent, is expected to be on energy and energy transition…”

Gautam Adani claimed in his address that India’s real progress is yet to take place. “Adani Group to invest $100 billion on energy transition…”

Adani Group chairman announced that the group plans to invest more than US$100 billion on energy transition projects, including manufacturing equipment to produce green energy. Adani Group is developing solar parks, wind farms and facilities to make electrolyzers for green hydrogen.
