Indian Navy is inviting applications from unmarried male and female candidates for the post of Sailor under Sports Quota. To be eligible for the post applicant players should have participated in International/Junior or Senior National Championship/Senior State Championship.
Also, to ensure direct entry, the applicant must be a medal winner in ‘Khelo India Games’ and ‘Youth Games’ or any national or state level event. Along with this, candidates must have passed class 12th examination in any stream.
Last date to apply
Last date to apply for Navy Sailor Recruitment is 20th July. Last date to apply for candidates from North East, Jammu and Kashmir, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Island is 25th July.
Know about salary
For Navy Sailor Recruitment, the age of the candidates should be between 17 and half to 25 years. A stipend of Rs 14,600 per month will be given during training after joining the Navy as a sailor. After completion of training, Petty Officer will be given Pay Level 5 and Chief Petty Officer Pay Level 6.
Apart from this, candidates will also be given military service pay of Rs 5,200. Any medal winner in World Championship or Asian Games, CWG and World Cup is eligible for direct entry to the post of Chief Petty Officer. Further, candidates who have represented India twice in Asian Games/Commonwealth/World Cup or represented India in Olympics are eligible for direct entry in the final selection of Chief Petty Officer.
