Industry’s biggest film maker used to make clothes for Shah Rukh Khan, know the name?

Shah Rukh Khan has a huge fan following. The actor started his film career with the commercially successful film Deewana and gave amazing films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge… But did you know that one of the actor’s close friends who acted in Bollywood hits. Producers have now worked for him as a costume designer in 7 of his hit films?

He is one of the close friends of Bollywood filmmaker Shah Rukh Khan and made his directorial debut with Shah Rukh’s film. Today he is a well-known and hit filmmaker who has given some of the best films to Hindi cinema. It is none other than Karan Johar. Yes, Karan Johar worked as an assistant director before making his directorial debut with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. He used to design clothes for Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.

In 1997, Karan Johar handled the costume work for Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dil To Pagal Hai along with Manish Malhotra. Even when he played the villain in Mahesh Bhatt’s Duplicate, Karan Johar designed his clothes. In the 2000 hit film Mohabbatein, Karan Johar again became Shah Rukh Khan’s costume designer while Manish Malhotra designed clothes for Aishwarya Rai. Other films in which Karan became Shah Rukh Khan’s costume designer include Om Shanti Om, Veer Zara and Main Hoon Nao.
