ITI students will no longer have to appear for the All India Professional Computer Base exam at private online centres. These students will be able to take the exam in Hi-Tech labs built at Chargaon, Railway Colony, World Bank Mahila Asuran and Chaurichaura ITI. 385 students will be able to take the exam simultaneously at these four centres. Examinations can be conducted in three shifts in a day. In such a situation, 1155 students can be examined in a day.

Earlier the exams in ITI were offline. But for transparency, online exam is being conducted on computer for last three years. As ITI institutes do not have their own system, till now the exams were conducted in private online centres. This not only cost millions of rupees but also created problems related to monitoring.

Candidates also faced difficulties in private centres. So there was scope for fraud through collusion with online centres. Now all the ITI exams in the country are conducted simultaneously. All India Professional Computer Base Exam is proposed in the month of July or August.

100 Mbps leased line will be installed

ITIs of the district are being technically strengthened to make computer labs hi-tech. In this order, 100 Mbps lease lines will be installed in Khajani, Campierganj and Bansgaon ITIs for high speed internet. Tender process for this is going on. Its installation will also enable examinations and practicals in the hi-tech lab. IT experts say that with a leased line of 100 Mbps, the internet speed will be very good. Due to which there will be no problem of server down.

Keeping in view the sanctity of the examination, the All India Professional Computer Base Examination proposed in July and August will be held at the ITI campus itself. A computer lab has been developed with computers received from CSR funds and local resources. This will not only help conduct the exam in a transparent manner but also save revenue.
