Indian captain Rohit Sharma admitted that he could not bat up to his standards in IPL 2024 but instead of dwelling on it too much, he focused on working on mistakes with a positive mindset. Rohit failed to score more than 20 runs in six second-leg matches for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the current season of IPL.
He said on Jio Cinemas Match Center Live, “As a batsman, I know I haven’t lived up to expectations, but after playing for so many years, I know I won’t play well if I think too much. Rohit said, “I try to stay positive. I keep practicing and working on my mistakes. We haven’t had a good season and we have ourselves to blame because we made a lot of mistakes. He had four wins and ten losses.
The Indian captain also said that the T-20 World Cup 70 percent of the 2024 squad was already decided before the IPL. He said, “There are ups and downs in performances in the IPL. We didn’t focus too much on it. Even before this IPL season, 70 percent of the players in the World Cup squad knew that India would begin their campaign in the T20 World Cup on June 5.
