Deepak Chahar and Mayank Yadav have one thing in common. Both these bowlers were forced to leave the field without completing their spell in the last match. Deepak Chahar of Chennai Super Kings left the field after bowling only 2 balls against Punjab Kings. According to a Cricbuzz report, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan said, ‘Deepak’s injury is not looking good. I cannot say that it is out of season, but such a possibility is definitely there.
Mayank Yadav also returned to the dressing room after an incomplete spell in the match against Mumbai Indians on 30 April. In this match, he took one wicket for 31 runs in 3.1 overs. After the match, Mayank Yadav complained of pain in the same spot, which forced him to sit on the bench for several matches.
Lucknow Supergiants currently have 12 points in the IPL points table. Chennai Super Kings are fifth in the points table with 10 points. That means both are strongly present in the playoff race. An injury to an important player at such times can hurt these teams.
