IPL 2024 Orange Cap and Purple Cap Updated List- Kolkata Knight Riders opener Sunil Narine is in great form in IPL 2024. On Sunday night of 5th May, he once again gave a match winning performance for his team KKR against Lucknow Super Giants and played an explosive innings of 81 runs. Based on this innings, he has managed to make his place among the top-5 batsmen in the race for the Orange Cap of IPL 2024. After this brilliant performance, Sunil Narine has reached the third position after Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad. While KL Rahul has moved to the fourth position and Philip Salt to the fifth position.
Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star batsman Virat Kohli tops the list with the highest 542 runs in 11 matches. After that, the highest run-scorer batsman in IPL 2024 is Rituraj Gaikwad, who is just behind him after scoring 541 runs. Now Sunil Narine is third with 461 runs, KL Rahul is fourth with 431 runs and Philip Salt is fifth with 429 runs.
LSG’s Marcus Stoinis, who played an innings of 36 runs in the same match, is at the 12th position with 352 runs.

Talking about Purple Cap, Punjab Kings fast bowler Harshal Patel has equaled Jasprit Bumrah by taking 3 wickets in the match against Chennai Super Kings. Both these Indian fast bowlers now have 17 wickets each in IPL 2024. However, Bumrah is at the first position due to good average while Harshal is at the second position. Apart from Bumrah and Harshal, Vuraan Chakraborty has entered the top-5, taking 3 wickets against Lucknow. The other two fast bowlers included in this list are T Natarajan and Arshdeep Singh.
