IPL 2024 Orange Cap and Purple Cap Updated List- After Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Supergiants match 57 of IPL 2024, the race for Orange Cap and Purple Cap has seen changes. After an unbeaten innings of 89 runs against LSG, SRH opener Travis Head has taken a quantum leap in the Orange Cap race to move up to third place behind Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaekwad. While his fellow batsman Abhishek Sharma had lost his place in the top-10 by 12 runs. Apart from this, Hyderabad’s T Natarajan remains in the top-5 in the Purple Cap race.

Talking about the Orange Cap, currently Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star batsman Virat Kohli is at the top with 542 runs in 11 matches at an average of 67.75 and a strike rate of 148.09. Behind him is Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaekwad who has 541 runs to his name. Now Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Travis Head has reached the third position with 533 runs. Head has been in stunning form this season. He is the only player among the top-5 batsmen to have a strike rate of over 200.

SRH vs LSG: Travis Head played a brilliant innings with a strike rate close to 300, hit 16 boundaries and scored 89 not out.

Apart from Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Travis Head, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson and Kolkata Knight Riders explosive batsman Sunil Narine are also in the top-5 list of batsmen with the most runs in IPL 2024.

Talking about the Purple Cap, there is no change in the list of top-5 bowlers after the SRH vs LSG match. Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is on top with 18 wickets. He is followed by Harshal Patel of Punjab Kings, Varun Chakraborty of Kolkata Knight Riders, T Natarajan of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Arshdeep Singh of Punjab Kings.

Mumbai Indians became the first team to be eliminated from IPL 2024, the fleet of the five-time champions ruined by SRH’s victory.

Apart from this, SRH captain Pat Cummins has reached the 9th position with 14 for 1 success against Lucknow.
