Rahul Dravid’s tenure as India’s head coach ended on a high note. Indian team won the T20 World Cup title. The final match was Rahul Dravid’s last match as head coach. Although he was appointed as the head coach of the team till the 2023 World Cup, captain Rohit Sharma convinced him to stay on as the head coach till the T20 World Cup 2024. Rahul Dravid also mentioned this in his farewell speech. However, now he may be the target of 4 teams in IPL 2025 and may get the responsibility of head coach.
IPL 2025 is still a long time away, but the franchise still wants to approach Rahul Dravid before it’s too late. Although nothing is official yet, if we look at the current scenario there are four franchises who can appoint him as their head coach. Rahul Dravid has also joked that he is now unemployed. It is generally seen that whoever completes his tenure in the coaching staff of the Indian team easily gets a chance in the IPL and Dravid can do the same.

Rahul Dravid could be inducted by Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals before IPL 2025. Anyway, Rahul Dravid can’t stay away from cricket for long. 1. KKR
Gautam Gambhir is the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders. Gambhir will have to step down from KKR if he becomes the head coach of the Indian team. In such a situation, if that position is vacant in KKR, Shah Rukh Khan can approach Rahul Dravid and assign him the role of head coach or mentor.
2. RCB
Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid have been seen behaving like two brothers many times. Apart from this RCB has never won a title, so they can partner with Rahul Dravid before the new season. However, here he may join as head coach. His hometown is also Bengaluru so he won’t face much trouble.

Although there doesn’t seem to be a vacancy in Rajasthan Royals, looking at the way the franchise supports its players and support staff, it can be said that they can find a replacement for their former captain and great player Rahul Dravid if they create any space. Dravid has been a part of RR’s support staff before.
4. Delhi Capitals
Delhi Capitals have been performing poorly and the current head coach of the team, Ricky Ponting, may also have to step down. The Delhi franchise could approach Dravid if that position falls vacant, as DC’s director of cricket and mentor is Sourav Ganguly. The relationship between the two is not hidden from anyone.
