Former Indian team all-rounder Irfan Pathan has praised Hardik Pandya for his brilliant bowling in the T20 World Cup 2024. Hardik Pandya is the highest wicket-taker for the team in the ongoing tournament. Hardik Pandya has taken seven wickets in three matches. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya took three wickets for 27 runs against Ireland, two wickets for 24 runs against Pakistan and two wickets for 14 runs against USA. He is also doing well with the bat.
Seeing Hardik’s great form, Irfan Pathan said that he will play an important role in the West Indies with his cutters and bouncers. Irfan Pathan told Star Sports, “I think the kind of length he bowls, is perfect for dry conditions. Especially on pitches like West Indies where he can use those cutters and bowl bouncers and hard lengths. This will be difficult to avoid. So, being in shape is very important for him as a bowler.
He added, “Yes, batting also has to be looked at, because there will be times in knockout matches when his batting is needed. It is expected that his account will be run by then. But as a bowler it’s important for him to be in form because when you get to the West Indies you want to have Kuldeep in the team. And when you include Kuldeep, a fast bowler is out. A brilliant performance by the three fast bowlers will be very good for the Indian team.
