Veteran Australian opener David Warner has expressed his desire to settle down in India after retiring from the game. He likes India. However, he says he wants to spend some time in India. He has had the longest and most successful association with the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL. He is the most capped foreign cricketer in the IPL. He spoke openly about his love for India and its people.

Not only does David Warner come to India as a member of the Australian team, but he stays in India for almost three months to play the IPL. He stayed with Sunrisers Hyderabad for seven years. Apart from this, he was also part of Delhi Capitals earlier and is now part of this team again. He often talks about Indian films on social media and also shares his own reels and shorts. It feels like their second home to them. Indian filmmakers have also started using it in advertisements.

He further added, “In Australia, sometimes we get the bald poppy syndrome. Always a negative mindset before a positive one. Once you’re here, everything becomes positive. People here love life. In Australia, sometimes, we prepare ourselves. Don’t. Enough.” About Indian fans, he said, “People say I go crazy when I go out without security, but people want to meet me and click photos. However, they also understand that when I am Going out with daughters, I’m crazy. I have to keep my distance.”
