Isha said many girls have left the industry
In Siddharth Kanan’s podcast, Isha Kopikar was asked if she ever asked producers for interesting roles after being typecast. Responding to this question, he said, “It was never about what you could do. The hero and the actor decided.” He said that many heroines had left the industry during his time. She said many girls had given up at that point. There are very few girls who are still in the industry and have never given up. I am one of them.”
When Ekta Kapoor advised Isha Kopikar
During a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Isha Kopikar revealed how she faced the casting couch at the age of 18. He said that at that time a secretary and an actor approached him for the casting couch. He told me that I had to be friends with artists to get work. Isha further said that I am friendly, but what was the meaning of that friendly? He said that I am so friendly that once Ekta Kapoor asked me to bring some attitude.
Endured the casting couch at age 23
Not only this, Isha Kopikar mentioned another incident. She said that when she was 23, an A-lister actor asked her out alone. Isha said, “When I was 23, an actor asked me to meet him alone without my driver or anyone else. Isha said the actor told Isha that there were already controversies about me, the staff was spreading rumours. So he called. I Was alone but I refused to meet him saying that this actor is an A-lister of Hindi film industry.
After this Isha said that the secretaries of actors and directors used to come and touch her inappropriately. He would not only touch her inappropriately, but also twist her hands and say in a dirty tone that she has to be very friendly with the hero.
