JEECUP 2024: Polytechnic entrance exam starts today, 18 centers set up

The entrance examination for admission to state polytechnic institutes will begin online in three shifts from Thursday. For this, 18 centers have been set up in Lucknow. 45148 candidates will appear in three polices at these centres. The entrance exam will be held between 13th to 20th June. 4,72,759 students will appear for the exam at 207 examination centers in the state. June 19 and 20 are the days reserved for the examination.

Principals of government and aided colleges have been made the nodal center supervisors for the polytechnic entrance examination. The online entrance exam will be conducted in three shifts. In which students will get two and half hours time to solve the question paper. First shift will be from 8 am to 10.30 am, second shift from 12 pm to 2.30 pm and third shift from 4 pm to 6.30 pm.

The exam will be conducted at these online centers AP Computer Center IIM Road, AYUSH Online Solution Gomti Nagar, BK Convent Inter College Indira Nagar, City Modern Academy, three centers in Krishna Nagar, DIET Education Center Kursi Road, Institute of Computer Science Faizabad Road, Sultan Foundation Kanpur Road and others.

The Technical Education Council has changed its rules and decided that those who score zero marks in the polytechnic entrance examination will not be admitted. Uttar Pradesh has about 1400 polytechnics running in government, subsidized, private and PPP models, with admissions for 2 lakh 28 seats.

Students have to reach the center one and a half hours before

Students appearing for the Polytechnic Entrance Examination 2024 have to reach the examination center 90 minutes before the examination time. Students must bring the Admit Card and Aadhaar Card with them. Students will be allowed to carry only pens inside the examination centre.
