JOSAA IIT BTech Seat Allotment Result 2024: After Computer Science, first choice of meritorious has become Mathematics and Scientific Computing and Statistics and Data Science. JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) on Thursday released the first phase seat allotment list for admission to all 23 IITs in the country. Like every year this year also IIT Bombay has become the first choice of meritorious students. First Top-20 meritorious students have opted for Computer Science at IIT Bombay. Ranked 120th in Kanpur, Medhvi has opted for Computer Science. However, the final list of admitted meritorious students will be declared on 24th June.
JoSAA has released the first phase seat allotment for 14 courses offered at IIT Kanpur. Meritorious students with rank 120 to 248 in general category have opted for Computer Science and Engineering. Meritorious candidates with ranks 449 to 926 in Mathematics and Scientific Computing have closed their seats. Statistics and Data Science was the third choice of meritorious students. In which the meritorious who have 699 to 990 rank have got the seat. Bright students with 743 to 1257 ranks in Electrical Engineering have chosen Kanpur.

Similarly, meritorious candidates with 2713 to 3495 rank in Aerospace Engineering, BSBE (5259 to 6791 rank in Biological Science and Bioengineering), 2227 to 3903 rank in Chemistry, 7317 to 10,037 rank in C 567 to 474 Earth Science 9550 rank from Kanpur made a choice is Meritorious students with 2137 to 2993 ranks in Economics, 3998 to 5791 ranks in Materials Science and Engineering, 1889 to 2736 ranks in Mechanical Engineering and 1440 to 4609 ranks in Physics have opted for Kanpur.

Kanpur could not be a top-100 choice again
JoSAA has announced the first round seat allocation. Unlike the last five years, Kanpur has not become a choice for meritorious candidates who secured top-100 ranks in JEE Advanced. Medhvi, ranked 120 among the top rankers, has chosen Computer Science and Engineering. Medhvi, who secured an All India 95 rank in the year 2019, opted for Computer Science at IIT Kanpur. Looking at the nine-year record, the graph of meritorious students taking admission in Computer Science shows a decline.
