New Delhi: A statement by Jim Sarab is in the headlines. Many netizens believe that the actor has taken a dig at ‘Padmaavat’ co-star Ranveer Singh, who once said in an interview that he had to undergo psychiatric treatment after playing the role of Khilji in ‘Padmaavat’. Clarifying on Instagram, Jim Sarbh wrote, ‘I find it absurd to clarify this. Ranveer Singh is not mentioned in anything I have said. The video statement shared is during the promotion of ‘Made in Heaven Season 2’. The film is five years after the release of ‘Padmaavat’. For five years I had nothing but nice things to say about Ranveer, which I still do.

Jim Sarbh clarified after the criticism
Jim Sarbh further said that this is not an attack on the process. I love the process and I love the actor. The video makes fun of actors who exaggerate things. I am sure you all must have come across such people who talk more about their work than doing it. Jim Sarabh captioned the post, ‘I don’t usually respond to speculative videos and articles. They are boring and I think people know better. Of course, like some of you, I guessed wrong.

Ranveer Singh played the role of Khilji in ‘Padmaavat’.

In an interview to ‘The Quint’, Jim Sarbh said, ‘There are many actors who say I was so stuck in the role that I had to undergo psychiatric treatment for several weeks. I said – shut up brother. You didn’t even know your lines that day, what nonsense. Many people believe that this is a taunt on Ranveer.
