JPSC PT: Court seeks response from commission in 4 weeks in JPSC backlog appointment case

Read on the application

While hearing a petition challenging PT’s result of JPSC Combined Civil Services Backlog Competition 2017 for appointment in Police Service, Jail Service and Planning Service, the High Court directed the JPSC to file its reply within four weeks. Justice SK Dwivedi’s court gave this direction while hearing Alok Ranjan’s petition on Friday.

On behalf of the petitioner, the court was told that the JPSC had issued an advertisement for 10 posts under the Joint Civil Services Backlog Competition 2017. For this PT exam was conducted in the year 2024. After this JPSC released answer key and revised answer key, but both had errors. The petitioner said that it seems that the PT result declared by JPSC is also flawed. Therefore an expert committee should be constituted on the results. The applicant stated that he could not be selected due to one question, therefore the expert committee should correct the error in the examination result and select him.
