Objection was expressed over the title of the film

According to a report in The Free Press Journal, Karan Johar has objected to the film’s producers IndiaPride Advisory and Sanjay Singh and the film’s director and writer Bablu Singh over the use of his name in the film’s title. Karan Johar has demanded a ban on this film.

Hearing on Karan Johar’s case today

A case has been presented before a bench of Justice RI Chhagla on Wednesday seeking an immediate ban on the film. The court said that the hearing of this case will be held today i.e. Thursday. Karan Johar has said that he has nothing to do with the film and the filmmakers. He has accused the filmmakers of using his name illegally. He claims that his name is directly mentioned in the film, which violates his personality rights, publicity and privacy rights.

His plea said that by misusing his ‘brand name’, the producer is taking advantage of his goodwill and reputation without seeking permission. Karan Johar has also said that unauthorized use of his name is damaging his reputation.
