Karan Johar’s reaction to the Kangana Ranaut slapping case, said- neither support nor condone

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has now become an MP after winning the election from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. A shocking incident has come to light after he was slapped by a CISF officer at the airport after his election victory. Many people in the film industry condemned it and called it a disgrace. Now producer-director Karan Johar, who is a staunch opponent of Kangana Ranaut in the cinema world, has given his reaction to this. When Karan Johar was asked about the incident during the trailer release of the film KILL, the actor said that he does not support such things.

‘I do not support any violence’

When Karan Johar was asked what he had to say about the incident, the veteran filmmaker said, “I do not support or condone any kind of violence. Be it physical or verbal violence.” A war of words has been going on between Karan Johar and Kangana Ranaut for quite some time now. While on one hand Karan Johar openly supports nepotism, Kangana Ranaut is against it. While Kangana Ranaut rarely has anything positive to say about Karan Johar, Karan Johar also targets the actress from time to time.

Kangana lives opposite Karan Johar

Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’ is very famous and when Kangana Ranaut first appeared on the show 6 years ago, she called Karan a promoter of film mafia and nepotism. In response, Karan Johar also once said that Kangana Ranaut is completely free to leave the industry if she has such a problem. Karan said that Kangana Ranaut should stop playing the victim card. Kangana Ranaut also hit out at Karan Johar last year and said that he was falsifying box office figures.

He was accused of giving false figures

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ was a blockbuster hit at the box office. The film grossed over 355 crores and Kangana Ranaut alleged that the figures of the Karan Johar-directed film were being misrepresented. Talking about the current work front, Karan Johar’s next film is ‘Kill’ which shows extreme violence. The trailer of the film was released on Wednesday and the film will hit the theaters on July 5.
