The excitement of IPL 2024 was seen at the world’s tallest building i.e. Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Kolkata Knight Riders received a congratulatory message at Burj Khalifa for winning the IPL title. Team co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan also received a congratulatory message. Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final of IPL 2024. In the title match played at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, May 26, KKR won their third title with a near one-sided victory.
Two days after becoming the IPL 2024 champions, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa was seen painted purple and the team received a congratulatory message from here. KKR himself shared this video on his social media handle. In this few seconds video, one can see that first KKR is congratulated at Burj Khalifa for becoming IPL champion and then Shah Rukh Khan also gets a congratulatory message. However, it is yet to be determined whether the organizers themselves decided to display the message or received a congratulatory message from the Burj Khalifa.
Talking about the final of IPL 2024, Hyderabad team captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat against Kolkata. The captain’s decision proved wrong at the same time, when both the openers were dismissed early and the third wicket fell in the power play itself. The SRH team could not recover from this setback and collapsed for 113 runs. Also, KKR got the target of 114 runs in the 11th over itself. Venkatesh Iyer played a storming innings to lead the team to victory, but the bowling hero was Mitchell Starc. Starc took 2 wickets. Andre Russell got 3 wickets.
