New Delhi. Sanjeev Goenka has been in controversies before for scolding KL Rahul on camera after Lucknow Supergiants’ defeat in the IPL. This is the reason why cricket fans are advising KL Rahul to leave the team owned by Sanjeev. Business tycoon Sanjeev Goenka owns Lucknow Supergiants (LSG). By the way, this is not even his first team. He was earlier the owner of the Rising Pune Supergiant team in 2016-17. Even then, Sanjeev Goenka shocked the cricket world by suddenly removing MS Dhoni from the captaincy.
Lucknow Supergiants are among the two IPL teams that have been inducted in 2022. Sanjeev Goenka’s firm was the highest bidder for the Lucknow franchise. Goenka had also earlier bought the Pune franchise in 2016. Pune Supergiant participated in IPL 2016. The team’s performance was nothing special. He is seventh in the points table. After this, the team was renamed Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017. Not only this, the captaincy was stripped from MS Dhoni just a few days before the start of IPL 2017. Australia’s Steve Smith has been made the new captain in his place.
Indian cricket fans were shocked when MS Dhoni was removed from the captaincy. Although fans who supported Dhoni’s removal were citing his poor form, nobody was talking about the fact that he had led Chennai Super Kings to the IPL champions twice before joining the Pune side. Dhoni scored only 284 runs in 12 innings in IPL 2016. However, the move to captain Smith worked and the Pune team reached the final in IPL 2017. He was defeated by Mumbai Indians in the final.
It seems – KL Rahul is a 9 to 6 worker and the manager harasses him to do time duty. #SRHvLSG #SRHvsLSG pic.twitter.com/q9MaRHUC2T
