UPSC CSE Success Story: UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the toughest exams and it is believed that coaching is essential to crack this exam. Today we are going to tell you about a person who cracked the UPSC exam without coaching. We are talking about IPS officer Amrit Jain, who has cleared the UPSC exam four times. Let’s know about them.

Amrit Jain is currently working on the post of ASP i.e. Assistant Superintendent of Police in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. He is a resident of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. He completed B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from NIT Warangal and later studied from Czech Technical University. After completing his studies, he started his career in a private company in Hyderabad, but after working for a while, he felt that he should take the UPSC Civil Services exam.

Coming from an ordinary family, Amrit Jain appeared in the UPSC exam in the year 2016 without any prior studies. At that time he was confident that UPSC CSE Prelims would have multiple choice questions, which he would be able to answer easily, but it did not happen and he failed the exam.

After which Amrit Jain studied well for one year and then appeared in UPSC Prelims in the year 2017. However, this time he failed to clear the exam by 0.66 marks. After which Amrit realized that UPSC exam can be cleared only with proper strategy. He corrected his mistakes and made the right strategy. He completed 140 mock tests to strengthen his UPSC preparation. He used to read each question at least three times during the exam.

His eye was on the UPSC CSE syllabus, as UPSC was constantly changing its CSE pattern. That said, candidates who understand the UPSC syllabus well will find it a bit easier to crack this exam. Let us tell you that he chose Political Science as an optional subject for the UPSC examination.

Amrit Jain took the UPSC exam for the third time in the year 2018 and this time his hard work paid off. He cleared the UPSC exam. Let us tell you that in the year 2018, he was kept in the reserve list, after which he joined the Indian Defense Accounts Service (IDAS). However, after this he took the UPSC exam three times in a row and passed all three times. He got 321st rank in 2019, 96th rank in 2020 and 179th rank in 2021. Let us tell you that, he did not take any coaching to clear the UPSC exam.

After clearing the UPSC exam four times, he got the post of IPS officer, but his IAS The dream of becoming one did not end. In an interview given to a media channel, Amrit said that he has no regrets about not being able to become an IAS officer. He believes that everyone’s goal while preparing for UPSC is to become an IAS officer, but not everyone can achieve it. Clearing the UPSC CSE exam is a big deal in itself.
