Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday distributed the departments among the ministers. In the new government, four high-profile ministries – home, defence, finance and external affairs – have been given charge to Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar respectively. PM Modi’s ministers have started taking charge today as the departments are divided. According to information, Rajnath Singh will take over as Defense Minister in South Block at 10:30 am today.

Kirti Vardhan Singh today took charge as the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change. Before assuming charge, Kirti Vardhan Singh planted a tree at his residence.

Ashwini Vaishnav took charge as Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Minister today. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The country has once again blessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and given him an opportunity to serve the country. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav has taken charge as Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has taken charge of the Ministry as Union Railway Minister. Officials welcomed him on reaching the ministry. Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The Prime Minister has once again been blessed by the people and given an opportunity to serve. Railways will play a big role in this. The Prime Minister has made major reforms in the railways in 10 years. Railways are the backbone of our country.” It is the strong backbone of the economy.

S Jaishankar has taken charge as External Affairs Minister today. S Jaishankar said, “It is a great honor for me to once again assume the responsibility of heading the Ministry of External Affairs. In the last tenure, this Ministry has performed exceptionally well. We have chaired the G-20. We have provided vaccine friendly. Supply with covid We have also been the center of important campaigns like Operation Ganga and Operation Cauvery, the ministry has become a very people centric ministry under the leadership of PM Modi.
