Lowest score ever in a T20 World Cup, West Indies hunt the opening, not even 40 runs…

New Delhi. In the T20 World Cup, West Indies bowled out Uganda for 39 runs. With this, Uganda has equaled the 10-year-old record for the lowest score in a T20 World Cup. In the year 2014, Netherlands set the record for the lowest score in the T20 World Cup. The Dutch team was bowled out for 39 runs in 10.3 overs against Sri Lanka in Chittagong.

West Indies beat Uganda by 134 runs in the T20 World Cup. Batting first, the host West Indies scored 173 runs for 5 wickets. After this Uganda was all out for 39 runs. African team Uganda could bat only 12 overs. Only Juma Miyagi could cross the score of 10 from his side. He scored 13 runs off 20 balls.

Much of the credit for bringing the Ugandan team to this embarrassing position goes to Aqeel Hussain. This West Indies spinner sent 5 Ugandan batsmen to the pavilion. Aqeel Hussain’s bowling analysis was 4-0-11-5. Aqeel Hussain was adjudged player of the match for this performance.
