Isha played lead and important roles in Bollywood films like ‘Darna Mann Hai’, ‘Pinjar’, ‘LOC Kargil’, ‘Krishna Cottage’ and ‘Don’. Apart from this, he performed superhit dance numbers like ‘Ishq Samandar’ from ‘Kante’ and ‘Khallas’ from ‘Company’.
Esha Koppikar recently revealed in an interview to Siddharth Kannan that she faced the casting couch in her early days in the industry. While saying this, Isha’s eyes filled with tears. He said, “It has never happened in the industry that an actress can do anything. Determining heroes and actors. You’ve heard about MeToo, and if the industry had values, this would rarely have happened.”
Esha Koppikar said, “Many actresses of my time have left the industry. I was 18 when a secretary and an actor called me to a casting couch. He told me that you have to be ‘friendly’ with artists to get work. I’m very friendly, but what does ‘friendly’ mean? I am so outgoing that Ekta Kapoor once told me to have some attitude.
Esha Koppikar also mentioned an incident when an A-list actor asked to meet her alone. She said, “When I was 23, an actor asked me to meet him alone without my driver or anyone else, as there were rumors of him having a relationship with another actress. He said, ‘There are already controversies about me and such people spread rumours. is.’ But I refused and told him that I can’t come alone. He was an A-list actor of the Hindi film industry.
Esha Koppikar also recalled the days when actors and directors’ secretaries would touch her inappropriately. He said, “They didn’t just come up and touch you inappropriately; He would squeeze your hand and say, ‘You must be very friendly with the hero. In a dirty way.”
