Former Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani and former Union Minister Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi cast his vote using the home voting facility. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi has given this information. The home voting facility for elderly voters and persons with disabilities was started on Thursday and will continue till May 24.

According to data shared by the office, 1409 voters cast their ballots from their homes on Friday in all the seven parliamentary constituencies of Delhi. It was the second day of the launch of the facility.

The highest number of local votes was cast in the West Delhi constituency, with 348 voters exercising their franchise. 299 of them were elderly. A total of 2,956 voters exercised their right to vote from home with the completion of the second day, the CEO’s office said. “Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and former Union Minister Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi availed the home voting facility in New Delhi Parliamentary Constituency and successfully voted from their homes on May 17,” the office said.

Former Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari cast his vote on Thursday. Along with this, sources said that former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani had voted on Saturday.

On the first day, 1482 voters exercised their franchise sitting at home. A total of 5,406 elderly and disabled persons in Delhi filled Form 12D to avail home voting facility in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
