Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi’s son Gurdeep Mehndi is very fond of travelling. Apart from being a singer, he is also a lyricist and an actor. Speaking exclusively to IANS, he revealed how he manages to find time to pursue his work and hobbies. The singer told IANS, “I’ve seen my father travel a lot for shows. The best thing about traveling is that you get to know about many cultures, people, foods and traditions. It’s not necessarily only if you’re rich. Solo Budget A trip can be as fun as a luxury trip.
Gurdeep also talked about his latest song ‘Inipu’ and said that he and his team wanted to create something different. The singer said, “The idea behind this song comes from the culture of the two states. No one would have ever thought of a Sardar boy talking to a South Indian girl dressed in South Indian attire. ‘Inipu’ is a Tamil word that means very sweet.
He said, “The track has a raw format of instrumentation. We have deliberately avoided the Punjabi tuning. The song has a slight southern touch.” ‘Inipu’ has been released under Saregama’s label. Let us tell you that Gurdeep’s song ‘Saheli’ was released in 2014 and became popular among people. He has performed in many shows in India and abroad. He made his Bollywood entry in 2013 with Saeed Noor’s film ‘Meri Shaadi Karo’. He was in the role of Sardar in this film. Radhika Vaidya was the lead actress with him in this film.
