An orange alert has been issued in sub-Himalayan West Bengal in view of the forecast of heavy rainfall ranging from 115.6 to 204.4 mm on 21, 22, 23 and 24 August. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of floods and landslides in the affected areas during this period.
