Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 1: Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic drama did well on its first day of release. According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned ₹7 crore in India on Friday (May 31). According to the report, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi got a total Hindi occupancy of 56.15 percent. The film is getting mixed response. It is being said that Janhvi is looking very average in the film. If anything, it’s her scenes with Rajkumar that enhance her performance. As a couple, they both had fresh chemistry. Soon after their wedding and after a fun first night, a spark of romance ignites between them but it quickly fades away. Honestly, that’s fine if you’re interested in this film.
Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is worth a watch for its honest acting but the film lacks a great script or wow moments. This is an ambitious sports film that tries to make a point. But unfortunately he misses the shot. Directed by Sharan Sharma, this film is the second film between Jhanvi and Rajkumar Rao. This is also the second collaboration between Jhanvi and Sharan.
Janhvi and Rajkumar were earlier seen in Roohi. A flashback scene in the trailer shows that Rajkumar’s character’s dream of getting selected in the national team is shattered and he is struggling to make it through. When he realized that she (wife) could play cricket, he decided to coach her. The film is also supported by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
