Mumbai Police busts child-selling gang, arrests 7 including doctor

Mumbai Police has busted a gang selling children. 7 people including a doctor have been arrested in this case. It has been stated by the police that two infants have also been released from the gang in this case. Surprisingly, a doctor is also involved in this gang. Mumbai Police has informed that this racket is being run with the help of women working in fertility centers. Investigation revealed that the gang has sold 14 children so far.

The police have arrested a total of 7 accused, including a woman broker who sold children. Also, three people have been detained for intensive interrogation. Among the arrested accused are Vandana Amit Pawar, Sheetal Ganesh Vare, Sneha Suryavanshi, Naseema Khan, Lata Surwade, Sharad Dewar and Dr. Sanjay Sopanrao Khandare included.

It has been found that the above accused have sold the newborns through their broker partners in various districts and states like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, the police said.

All the accused have been sent to seven days police custody. Among the children sold by the accused through this gang are 11 boys and three girls.
