Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, former opener Sachin Tendulkar and former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni have applied for the new head coach of the Indian cricket team. However, these are all fake applications, which have been received by the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI. The BCCI has received more than 3000 applications, but most of them are fake, including the names of former cricketers and politicians.

The deadline to apply for the position of head coach ended on Monday (May 27). However, as reported by Indian Express, the BCCI received several applications in the names of former cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag and others. The long list also includes the names of veteran politicians like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. However, all are fake.

Gautam Gambhir met Shah Rukh Khan, LSG owner surprised; But the deal was done with a blank cheque.

BCCI invited applications for the jobs through Google form on May 13. For this, a large number of fake applicants were seen every day. This is not the first time that BCCI has received a fake application. Last time when applications were invited through email before appointing Rahul Dravid, a large number of fake people applied. Genuine candidates have applied. This is also not confirmed.

A BCCI official said, “BCCI got a similar response last year too where rioters applied and this time too the story is the same. The reason for inviting applications on BCCI Google form is that it is easy to check names from one sheet. In its advertisement, the board said that it needed a head coach for the team until the 50-over World Cup to be held in South Africa in 2027.
