NBA (National Board of Accreditation) has designated IIT ISM Dhanbad as a mentor and facilitator to five technical institutes in Jharkhand and one in Sikkim. Under the mentoring scheme, mentoring institutions have been selected for these six institutions at IIT ISM Dhanbad. The decision was taken at a meeting held on June 27 at IIT ISM Dhanbad, in which 33 teachers from all these six institutions participated.
Technical institutes for which IIT ISM Dhanbad has been selected as mentor institute-
1. RTC Institute of Technology, Ranchi
2. University College of Engineering and Technology, Hazaribagh
3. Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology, Sikkim
4. Government Polytechnic, Koderma
5. Pakur Polytechnic, Pakur
In the meeting, the teachers were informed about the process of applying for NBA accreditation as well as self-evaluation reports, preparation and presentation by expert faculty team, evaluation guidelines and evaluation reports. The meeting was chaired by Professor Vikas Mehto, Department of Petroleum Engineering, IIT Dhanbad. Under his leadership, the experts of the institute provided information on various topics. The objective of this meeting is to improve the support ecosystem in AICTE recognized institutes.
Member organizations and their participating organizations will share best practices with each other. The chief guest of the meeting, Professor Sukumar Mishra, shared information on the technicalities of Self Assessment Report (SAR) as well as document processing. Deputy Director Professor Dheeraj Kumar has conducted education quality improvement programs in various institutions like BIT Sindri and others. Professor Vikas Mehto of IIT Dhanbad, Professor Rajeev Ranjan and Professor Vivek Vajpayee and others were also present in the event.
Development of all technical institutes of Jharkhand and Sikkim involved in this meeting will be ensured. IIT ISM Dhanbad is a very prestigious institute, with its guidance all other institutes can improve themselves. And also you can increase the level of education here.
