NEET: 1865 MBBS aspirants barred from NEET counselling, know why

1865 candidates have been left out of NEET second round counselling. These candidates have not deposited the security fee. Hence these candidates are excluded from counselling. A notice in this regard has also been issued by the Directorate General of Medical Education. 1560 candidates were also dropped from the first round of counselling. Out of which 1300 candidates did not deposit the prescribed amount after registration. While the educational documents of 260 candidates were found to be deficient.

The admission process for MBBS and BDS courses is going on under the second phase of counseling in UG. After the registration for counselling, the educational documents of the candidates were verified. Security fee was to be deposited after investigation. Candidates for Govt State Quota seats Rs. 30,000, for private medical college seats Rs. 2 lakh and for private dental college seats Rs. A security fee of 1 lakh was to be deposited.
