While as per the rules, a candidate can apply for the state quota seats of only one state. These candidates tried to take advantage of the state quota for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in more than one state by giving false addresses.

University officials said that these candidates are increasing their chances of getting admission in MBBS and BDS courses under state quota seats by using domiciles from Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Punjab. As per rule, a candidate cannot apply for state quota in more than one state.

The BFUHS on Friday issued notices to 10 candidates seeking evidence in support of their claims for state quota seats. Of these, four students were denied admission for having domicile in more than one state, while six students were found eligible for admission.
