Patna Police has claimed malpractice in the NEET rigging case by leaking the question paper and said there is enough evidence for it. All the accused in this case were arrested and sent to jail. On May 5, FIR 358/24 of malpractice in NEET examination has been registered at Shastri Nagar Police Station under Section 407/408/409/120 (B). Case IO Tej Narayan Singh produced six FIRs and seven non-primary accused in the court of ACJM (Nine) of Patna Civil Court to remand them to judicial custody. It has written in the forwarding report that six FIRs and five non-primary accused have committed misconduct by leaking the NEET question paper.

The police were said to have enough evidence to file a charge sheet. However, on Monday, the DIG-cum-SSP said that it is not appropriate to say anything like a question paper leak until the police investigation is over. According to the police captain, the police will come to a conclusion only after the investigation.

Police will investigate at various levels
The SIT will investigate the examination malpractice at several levels. After getting the green signal from the headquarters, NTA will know from the Delhi office what is the process of question papers reaching the examination centres. After this, the information will be collected from the bank where the question papers were kept. The SIT has the power to question the bank officials concerned by sending a notice under Section 91 of the CrPC.

An investigation is also underway against the employee of Danapur municipality.
After the arrest of Junior Engineer (JE) Sikandar Yadvendu of Municipal Council Danapur and Budco in the NEET examination rigging case, another employee posted here has now also come under suspicion. A relative’s son of an employee posted in the municipal council has also been arrested in this case. It is feared that the said employee may also be involved in this. Police may interrogate him soon. The municipality has come into discussion after the arrest of the Danapur junior engineer. It will be known only after the police remand of the JE that what deal has been made between the employee posted in the council and the JE in this matter. The conversation between the employee and the junior engineer in recent days is under investigation. Hence the employee switched off that mobile. The role of the municipal employees in this matter will be known only after the police investigation. But the informants also say that the strings of this fraud conspiracy are definitely connected with the municipality.

Administrative action will soon be taken against Junior Engineer Sikandar Yadvendu who is on deputation in Badko. After the arrest in a cheating case related to NEET exam cheating, BUDCO officials discussed the topic on Tuesday. Officials say that his deputation from BUDCO will end in the next day or two. The ongoing construction in Danapur area will be inspected by the Junior Engineer.
